Liminal Spaces

Heliconian artists address Liminal Spaces or Liminality through visual imagery. The liminal work is form as a manifestation of essence. Liminality can be characterized by ambiguity, openness, and indeterminacy; a period or space of transition which opens a way to something new. Some concepts related to Liminal Spaces: brink, verge, origin, entrance, door, point, outset, start, edge, inception, gate, dawn, and doorway.

The exhibition ran from July 30 to September 30, 2020 at Heliconian Hall, 35 Hazelton Ave., Toronto.
